Topic proposal

The narrative that I want to use for this project is my trip to Washington State where I hiked 50 miles in a week and a half. On the trip, I had to spend twenty-four hours by myself and I never felt more accomplished and scared in my entire life.

This story matters to me because I love hiking. It is something that I could do and just enjoy the outdoors. On this trip particular, I didn’t only hike, but I canoed, too. Overall, I traveled 75 miles throughout two weeks. I went on this trip with Outward Bound and it has changed my life completely. I feel like I matured and know more about life. I have a better insight into what I know now.

The purpose of the narrative will be to set a mood. I want to convey a sense of accomplishment. I will include a time when I was really scared about a giant bird that was eating food right next to my tent. Completing 75 miles in two weeks is definitely something that is worthy to feel accomplished about.

The audience of this paper will be for my grandchildren. I want to set up the narrative in a journal form and write down exactly what happened over the twenty-four hours when I was by myself reflecting on the trip and on life in general.

First Assignment- The Rhetoric of Hitler's Battle

In the context of this book, the readers sees a very dependent Hitler on the need to see that the Jewish Religion/ Culture is something that can topple what the Ayran society that was built up for years. Hitler was a firm believer in the rebirth of Germany. This would adapt to become Nazi Germany. It wasn't about Hitler trying to mastermind what the people thought about the country, what some would say "brain washing". It was rather a shift in Nationalism. Germany was a nation that was moving forward towards a goal and the Jews were standing in their way. The audience of Hitler's speeches were usually aimed at the German public who supported the movement of the Nazi Party throughout Europe. Hitler's attack left the Jews in shambles, but he always attacked a group of people instead of an individual. This allowed him to focus on something more important than just one component.

A famous propaganda sign that really irritates some Americans, including myself, is the HOPE sign that has the image of Barack Obama on it. Upon the leave of George W. Bush, the American public wanted to look towards something that could turn the country around. The economic state of the country was something less than perfect to talk about. Instead, the Republicans and Democrats wanted to shift the focus and try to make America a stronger nation. The Democrats chose Barack Obama who would talk about change and hope for America in the strong plans that he wanted to create. Several people have told me that the country has to get worse before it gets better. I knew going into any of the Presidential Candidates that if there was going to be a change, it wouldn't be this new administration. It just comes to a point where the same candidates say the same things as the previous President. The Democrats chose Barack Obama because the American public, who were sick of Republicans, were relying on the parties to pick someone reasonable. George W. Bush was a phase that Democrats knew people would get sick of after the second term in office.
